Wonder of The World/Leaf of Life Plant – The Wonder Healer

How many of us from the Caribbean remember as children putting a ‘Wonder of The World/Leaf of Life’ leaf in our school book and watching over time as it sprouts roots? It is a plant of wonder to many of us, but we are mostly unaware of its excellent curative powers of the plant.

Wonder Of The World – The Miracle Plant

TheWonder of The World’ (Kalanchoe pinnata) plant, also known as Miracle Leaf, Leaf of Life, Life Plant, Goethe Plant, Mexican Love Plant, Resurrection, Soanzo Leaf is much celebrated for its curing capabilities.  This miracle plant is native to Madagascar. It has also become naturalized in Asia, the Pacific, and all over the Caribbean.

Wonder of The World the healing plant

A recent study has revealed that the amazing Leaf of Life plant is a rich source of T-Cell suppressive flavonoids. What this means is that it has cancer-fighting properties.

Some Of The Other Constituents Of The Leaf Of Life Plant Are…

  1. Bryophillin A (anti-tumor)
  2. C- anticarcinogenic this means that it inhibits or prevents the activity of a carcinogen or the development of cancer
  3. Beta carotene.  Beta carotene is converted by the body into vitamin A (retinol). We need vitamin A for healthy skin and mucous membranes and the immune system. Beta carotene is also important in promoting eye health and vision.

Internal Uses Of The Leaf of Life Plant Are…

  • Cancer.

  • Depression

  • Headaches.

  • Diabetes

“Diabetes is a major risk for cardiovascular diseases such as stroke, and heart attack which affects the majority of the global population. Goyal et al., (2013) reported that the ethanolic extract of K. pinnata decreased the blood glucose level of rats affected by diabetes. Thus, decreasing the serum glucose level and increasing glucose tolerance. The plant extract also increased the pancreatic secretion of insulin… after 24-hour continuous observation, the glucose levels subsided to normal baseline levels indicating the  antidiabetic potential of the plant” [A]

  • Sinuses and other respiratory illnesses.

  • Blood Cloths

“A study was carried out by Sharker et al., (2012). Certain bioactive compounds present in the plant can even dissolve blood clots in the blood vessels. These thrombolytic agents are useful in treating myocardial infarction, thrombo-embolic strokes, deep-vein thrombosis, and pulmonary embolism to clear a blocked artery and avoid permanent damage to the perfused tissues.” [A]

  • Colds and flues.

  • The root of this plant is believed to protect the liver and proved useful for the treatment of hepatitis.

  • It is used as a remedy for piles (Hemorrhoids).

  • The fresh juice can be used to treat jaundice.

  • It is the natural treatment for kidney and gallbladder stones.

“Fresh juice extracted from the leaves of K. pinnata was administered to patients having stones in
their body based on medical prophylaxis. Regular intake of the juice effectively dissolved the stones regardless of its position, nature, and previous treatments. There was an increase in the quantity of urine excreted, thus showing the diuretic nature of the juice” [A]

  • Most significant of all, it is helpful in treating Hypertension (high blood pressure)

External Uses Of Wonder of The World

  • Arthritis

Externally it is used for among other things – arthritis. To do this, the leaf is heated and placed on the affected area.

  • Cataracts

In treating cataracts and styes (hordeolum). Begin by boiling some of the leaves in hot water. Let it cool and then squeeze the juice in the affected area.

  • Cuts/Bruises/External Ulcers

It is also used for cuts and bruises and external ulcers. For sore, tired feet soak in a solution made by setting the leaves in warm water. Apply twice a day, morning and night, or as often as needed.

How To Use The Plant Internally

The best way to use the Wonder of The World/Leaf of Life plant is to make tea which can be taken once or twice a day as needed.

To make the tea put some water to boil. Once the water is boiling add the leaves of the plant. Let it simmer for a few minutes and then drink the tea without sugar added. Store the unused portion in a refrigerator and use it as needed.

Aloe Vera The Miracle, Healing, Plant

The ancient Egyptians called Aloe Vera the “plant of immortality“. Both Cleopatra and Nefertiti attributed their beauty to this plant, spending much time soaking in baths filled with Aloe. It is also known as the medicine plant, the treatment plant, the miracle plant, and the healing plant.

Man has used the plant for over 5,000 years. We generally use it for topical applications, eg: burns, cuts and general skin improvement. However, Aloe Vera has much more than just topical value. Drinking Aloe juice has many health benefits as it detoxifies the body. More and more uses are being discovered almost daily. Here are some of the reasons you should be using the aloe vera plant:

1. Helping With Weight Loss

Aloe juice speeds up metabolism; it helps in the promotion of proper digestion; and also aids in the burning of extra fat and calories. The juice from the aloe plant helps reduce water retention and fat accumulation. It contains lots of soluble fiber. This soluble fiber binds with the fatty foods we consume and helps in their elimination. Thus preventing the absorption of excessive dietary fat.

To accomplish this the aloe gel must be taken at least once daily.

2. Aloe Vera For Beauty

Miracle Aloe Vera Healing, Plant

Aloe Vera Your Complete Beauty Treatment

The Aloe gel has been used for eons as a beauty treatment.  Aloe is used in many beauty and hair care products. The gel is a superior moisturizer and is anti-aging.

  • It helps remove wrinkles and facial lines.
  • Repairs sun-damaged skin.
  • Acts as a sunscreen
  • Treats dark spots.
  • Heals acne and whiteheads.

Applying the gel morning and evening can help in the removal of skin blemishes. Also drinking the gel daily helps bring about beautiful skin from the inside out.

Create Firming Mask

The aloin (the brown substance that seeps from the leaf when it is freshly cut) acts as a facial mask. Simply take the aloin from a freshly cut leaf and apply it to your face before going to bed. The gel will harden and bind the skin together. On arising simply wash off the gel to reveal beautiful, firm skin.

3. Aloe Vera A Diabetic Cure

Lowering blood sugar is a well-known effect of Aloe vera juice therapy. Drinking Aloe increases the secretion of insulin, thereby helping in the control of sudden spikes in blood glucose. Many diabetic patients are known to have reduced their medication when aloe vera juice is consumed regularly.

If you are diabetic, frequent monitoring of blood sugar levels is essential when you start on Aloe vera juice. Diabetic medication should be adjusted accordingly under guidance from a qualified health practitioner.

4. Unusual & Unexpected Clinical Responses To Aloe Treatment

The active ingredient in Aloe is the molecule called Mannose. It is a ‘cell for function’ and an energy molecule. Remarkable studies over many years have revealed that the Mannose in Aloe has almost miraculous healing and restorative properties. Here are some of the miraculous results:

  • Down Syndrome – healed completely.
  • Dwarfism in infants completely healed and their appearance transformed to that of normal children.
  • Fetal Alcohol Syndrome – These children went from having an IQ of 52 to over 100 with the continued use of the juice. Even their appearance changed.
  • Leukodystrophies (a brain defect where these children’s brains don’t develop) – they came out of commas and begin to develop.
  • Alzheimer’s patients who had lost the ability to speak for between one (1) to two (2) years were restored to full capacity.
  • Old Stable Strokes – up to 26 years, major sensory and motor defects returned to normalcy.
  • Parkinsons – over 300 documented Parkinson’s patients have responded.
  • Cancer was completely healed.
  • Aids patients had their sores disappear.

The Dangers of Aloe

Aloe is as powerful as it is dangerous. What makes it dangerous? The answer is Aloin, the brownish/reddish substance under the skin of the Aloe plant. Not only is Aloin a mild laxative, but it is also toxic. Continued consumption of it can poison the system.

How To Make Aloe Juice

To remove the Aloin, cut the leaf and place it in a bowl of water. Leave it to soak. The water will turn red. Drain off the water and place the aloe in a fresh container of water. When the water has turned mildly discolored, remove the leaf and extract the gel.

To remove the gel cut off the sharp edges of the leaf. Slice the leaf in two along its entire length and scope out the gel. Once you have extracted the gel blend in some water.

Noni Fruit – One of The World’s Most Powerful Superfoods

It is with utter astonishment and horror that I watch as daily more and more people cut down or trim their Noni tree till it is almost useless. Or they simply treat the fruit as a nuisance. This while, at the same time, they spend tons purchasing pharmaceuticals. They are totally unaware that Noni could help them solve many of their health issues.

Noni (Morinda citrifolia L.) is also known as great morinda, Indian mulberry, nunaakai, dog dumpling, mengkudu, beach mulberry, cheese fruit, hag apple, hog apple, ice leaf, and pain killer. The plant is native to India, Australia, and Polynesia. It is known as a famine food and has been used for over six (6) thousands of years by traditional healers.

Noni Fruit - One of The World's Most Powerful Superfoods

Noni’s Powerful Healing Effects

The fruit is known as a superfood and with good reason.  Ancient Sanskrit manuscripts record the Noni fruit has, “marvelous healthful properties”. It is referred to as a primary ingredient in natural healing formulations.

Professor R.M. Heinicke of the University of Hawaii conducted research on the Noni fruit. His research led him to the conclusion that it can be used to heal a multitude of illnesses. He writes: Some of the problems which drinking Noni juice might favorably affect are:

  • High blood pressure
  • Menstrual cramps,
  • Arthritis
  • Gastric ulcers
  • Sprains
  • Injuries
  • Mental depression
  • Senility
  • Poor digestion
  • Atherosclerosis
  • Blood vessel problems
  • Addiction
  • Relief for pain and many others.

Although this list looks like a page torn out of a traveling medicine man’s manual, it is probably conservative.

Some Astonishing Noni Findings

Noni Fruit - One of The World's Most Powerful Superfoods

Dr. Solomon, who has been studying Noni for nearly a decade and whose books on noni have sold over a million copies in the US alone, adds to that list cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and strokes. The main contributory factor for all of them is stress.

Noni For Beautiful Skin

The juice acts as a moisturizer when applied to the skin daily. It has the ability to replenish and repair your skin. The juice is packed with vitamin A (what retinol is derived from) and it’s one of the most powerful vitamins out there for near-perfect skin.

Applied topically, noni encourages the cells to renew themselves lightning-fast, helping to limit breakouts, skin blemishes, and fine lines.

It is also packed with moisture magnets and vitamin E, making it perfect for overcoming dry, flaky skin as well as pollution and other environmental factors.

A Skeptic Becomes A Believer

Dr. Mian-Ying Wang a physician and research associate professor broke her wrist while at a scientific conference in Philadelphia. Friends gave her a bottle of noni juice and told her that it would help with the healing.

“After a week, they called to see if I was drinking it,” she said. “I said, No, I’m never going to touch this noni juice.′ ” However, Wang was eventually convinced into trying the juice, and, a week later, she was able to have the cast on her wrist removed with compliments from her doctor on how quickly she had recovered.

This provided her with the impetus she needed to delve into 10 years of research on the healing properties of Morinda citrifolia. Her research has revealed positive results for patients with osteoarthritis of the hip or knee and on the quality of life and hearing function of postmenopausal women. She has proven that Noni has protective effects against liver damage and damage to the DNA and cholesterol levels of current heavy smokers.

Her studies revealed a 60 to 85 percent reduction in breast cancer formation and protective properties against environmentally caused cancers

Gangrene Reversed

Dr. Lionel Gaskin Mayers tells of his experience with a patient whose foot was about to be amputated because of gangrene. Using the Noni fruit on a continuous, daily basis the patient was able to completely reverse the condition. So much so, that the foot no longer needed to be amputated.

My Personal Experience With Noni

Many years ago when my two children were perhaps about 5 and 2 years old they went to the country for vacation. There they contracted some sort of skin ailment.

It looked like scabies. These scales covered their feet in ever-increasing measure. They scratched and blistered. It was not only painful, but it was also quite unsightly. So much so, that when their mom took them to the clinic they ran them out of it.

Their mom got worried, as any mom would. It seemed as though there was nothing that could be done.

It was at that time that I got the Tahitian Noni and applied it to the sores. At the same time, giving it to them to drink. In short order, it not only dried up but eventually completely disappeared.

From that moment on I, as well as my family, became totally convinced of the superpowers of the Noni Fruit.

Cinnamon – The Taste Enhancer & Healing Bark

There Are Two Main Types of Cinnamon

Cinnamon is a common household spice that is used around the world in both cooking, and as a flavoring in drinks. It comes from a Greek word that means sweet wood. There are primarily two types of cinnamon. The first is the darker-colored ‘cassia’ which is grown in southeastern Asia. Then there is the more expensive (and more powerful) ‘Ceylon’ cinnamon, also known as ‘true cinnamon’. This type grows in Sri Lanka and is made from the bark of the Cinnamomum Zeylanicum plant.

The ancient Egyptians used cinnamon. It was so valued that it was once monetary currency. And also considered a suitable gift for kings.

cinnamon the healer

Its most potent component is cinnamaldehyde. Foods like tomatoes, citrus, and chocolate contain large amounts of cinnamaldehyde.  However, the amount found in cinnamon is far greater than that found in any of those other foods. Six (6) grams contains from 42 to 189 mg of cinnamaldehyde.

The Antioxidants Properties of Cinnamon

Cinnamon is full of antioxidants. These antioxidants are found in the form of polyphenols.

The Power of Polyphenols?

Polyphenols are micronutrients that we get through plants. They’re crammed with antioxidants and have potential health benefits, including:

  • Fighting cancer.
  • Hormonal Imbalance
  • Promotes a healthy heart.
  • Lowers blood sugar levels (type 2 diabetes).
  • Obesity.
  •  In Ayurvedic medicine, cinnamon extracts are used for ailments such as arthritis, diarrhea, and menstrual irregularities.
  • Metabolic syndrome.
  • Insulin resistance.
  • Prevents blood clots.
  • Hyperlipidaemia.
  • Its prebiotic properties promote healthy gut bacteria, thereby aiding in the digestion process.
  • It also promotes healthy brain activity, thereby aiding in concentration and memory.
  • Prevents Alzheimer’s disease.
  • Prevents multiple sclerosis.
  • A 2000 study found that cinnamon protects against HIV. Scientists tested 69 extracts in a laboratory. The bark, and the shoot and fruit, are most effective in reducing HIV activity. A  2016 study further revealed that the extract has an anti-HIV effect.

Not only is cinnamon packed with large amounts of polyphenols, but these are also easily absorbed by the body. It also has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-bacterial properties. Antioxidants help protect against harmful “free radicals” that damage cells.

Studies on The Effect of Cinnamon on Diabetes

The WHO has indicated that there are 347 million people with diabetes worldwide in 2015. Studies show that the compliance levels of diabetic patients, who use current conventional treatments,  are poor (). Diabetic patients are 1.6 times more likely than non-diabetics to use complementary and alternative medicines(CAM) for a number of reasons.

The increasing use of CAM is attributed to the complex treatment regimes, hypoglycemia (low blood sugar, a fall in blood sugar to levels below normal. Resulting in a variety of symptoms, including clumsiness, trouble talking, confusion, loss of consciousness, seizures, or death), patient beliefs, and the side effects of medications have resulted in limited compliance with conventional treatments.

The Nutritional Value of Cinnamon

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, a teaspoon of ground cinnamon weighing 2.6 g contains:

  • Energy: 6.42 calories.
  • Carbohydrates: 2.1 g.
  • Calcium: 26.1 milligrams (mg).
  • Iron: 0.21 mg.
  • Magnesium: 1.56 mg.
  • Phosphorus: 1.66 mg.
  • Potassium: 11.2 mg.
  • Vitamin A: 0.39 micrograms.

It also contains traces of vitamins B and K and the antioxidants choline, beta-carotene, alpha-carotene, beta-cryptoxanthin, lycopene, lutein, and zeaxanthin.

Corona Virus – Symptoms And Methods of Prevention

The corona virus, covid 19, has now become a pandemic. What was once isolated to a single province in China has now spread globally. Country after country is now being affected. At the writing of this article there are presently 155 countries and territories around the world and 1 international conveyance (the Diamond Princess cruise ship harbored in Yokohama, Japan) affected by the covi9 virus.

Corona virus

Many people have chosen to wear masks as a means of protection

The effect of the virus on the global community is unprecedented in the modern era. It has resulted in the closure of national borders; schools; businesses; places of worship; etc. Cruise ships and airlines have had to cancel scheduled trips. Grocery shelves are empty and there have been many instances of price gouging in supermarkets and pharmacies around the world.

How Is The Covid 19 Strain of Corona Virus Spread?

The covid 19 is primarily spread through person to person contact or though contact with an affected surface. The virus can survive outside the human body for a lengthy period.

  • Up to 24 hours on cardboard.
  • Up to two or three days on plastic and stainless steel.
  • It also remained viable in aerosols—attached to particles that stay aloft in the air—for up to three hours.

That’s all basically in line with the stability of SARS, the coronavirus that caused an outbreak in the early 2000s, the researchers note.

What Is The Incubation Period

From the time that you catch the virus to the display of its first symptoms is between 2-14 days. This represents the current official estimated range for the novel coronavirus COVID-19.

One case with an incubation period of 27 days has been reported by Hubei Province local government on Feb. 22. In addition, a case with an incubation period of 19 days was observed in a JAMA study of 5 cases published on Feb. 21. An outlier of a 24 days incubation period had been for the first time observed in a Feb. 9 study.

WHO (World Health Organization) said that this could actually reflect a second exposure rather than a long incubation period, and that it wasn’t going to change its recommendations.

Period can vary greatly among patients.

Mean incubation period observed:

  • 3.0 days (0 – 24 days range, study based on 1,324 cases)
  • 5.2 days (4.1 – 7.0 days range, based on 425 cases).
  • Mean incubation period observed in travelers from Wuhan:
6.4 days (range from 2.1 to 11.1 days).

What Are Some Of The Symptoms?

Though the virus in many ways matches flu like symptoms, there are things you can look for to better detect if you have the virus or not.

Corona virus covid 19 symptoms

COVID-19 typical symptoms are:

  1. Rather flu like, including fever and cough. It usually starts with a fever followed by a dry cough.
  2. In some patients – particularly the elderly and others with other chronic health conditions – these symptoms can develop into pneumonia, with chest tightness, chest pain, and shortness of breath.
  3. After a week, it can lead to shortness of breath, with about 20% of patients requiring hospital treatment.

Notably, the COVID-19 infection rarely seems to cause a runny nose, sneezing, or sore throat (these symptoms have been observed in only about 5% of patients). Sore throat, sneezing, and stuffy nose are most often signs of a cold.

Corona virus covid 19 symptoms

Are You At Risk?

Everywhere you look there are people walking about with masks, some even wearing gloves all in a desperate attempt to Avoid catching this deadly virus. But how at risk are you really?

In 80.9% of the cases it is rather mild and the patient will recover in two weeks or less while resting at home. In about 13.8% the symptoms are severe, developing diseases including pneumonia and shortness of breath. Only 4.7% are critical and can include: respiratory failure, septic shock, and multi-organ failure.
in about 2% of reported cases the virus is fatal.

Pre-existing illnesses that put patients at higher risk:

  • cardiovascular disease
  • diabetes
  • chronic respiratory disease
  • hypertension

Reduce your risk of corona virus

To protect yourself and your family follow your government’s guidelines, wash your hands as advised and build your immune system with lots of vitamin D and drink lots of water. I would also like to advise that sugar breaks down your immune system so you should keep that in mind.

Did You know Thyme Quickly & Effectively Heals Breast Cancer & Acne?

Thyme which is known for its aromatic and healing properties is a member of the genus Thymus family. Thymes are relatives of the oregano herb.

As far back as ancient Egypt, it was used as an embalming fluid. In Greece, it was commonly used as an incense in temples and added to their baths. Hippocrates, the famed Greek physician, recommended thyme for respiratory diseases and conditions.

In ancient Rome, it was used as a flavoring for cheese and alcoholic beverages. Today it is used as a seasoning in many stews and other dishes.

During the Black Death Plague of the 1340s, people wore thyme as a means of protection.

Did You know Thyme Quickly & Effectively Heals Cancer & Acne?

Thyme Contains These Key Elements

Studies have shown that extract was able to significantly reduce heart rate in rats with high blood pressure, and it was also able to lower their cholesterol.

2. Kills Breast Cancer Cells

Breast cancer affects 122.2 women per 100,000 in the U.S. Research has shown that the essential oil inhibits growth and potentially cause the death of many cancer cell types including breast cancer.

In one of the studies done, after only 24 hours a 20% decrease in cell viability was observed. It has been shown that though thyme kills the cancerous cells it has no effect on the wholesome cells.

Thyme has also been effective in killing lung and prostate cancer cells.

3. Kills Yeast Infections

As a tea, it is used to help in your fight against fungal infections such as athlete’s foot, yeast infections, and ringworm.

4. Most Powerful Acne Cure

Scientists from England tested the effects of thyme on Propionibacterium acnes (P. acnes), the bacterium that causes acne. They found that it is quite effective in treating acne.

Its antibacterial properties are much stronger than that of benzoyl peroxide, the active ingredient in most acne creams and washes.

Benzoyl peroxide also causes irritation to the skin, this means that thyme is possibly the best solution to acne.

Stinging Nettle was used as far back as the ancient Egyptians to treat arthritis. The Arthritis Foundation tells us this about the nettle plant:

The antimicrobial, antioxidant, analgesic and anti-ulcer properties of stinging nettle have been studied in Germany and Turkey. Stinging nettle is high in potassium, calcium, and magnesium and may be helpful for gout.”

Don’t Use Nettle When It Is In Bloom

When the nettle begins to flower it signifies a change in the plant. A change that benefits butterflies and moths, but is dangerous to humans. As John Wright tells us (in his Hedgerow book):

‘At the first sign of flowers you must stop picking. The plant will now start producing cystoliths – microscopic rods of calium carbonate – which can be absorbed by  the body where they will mechanically interfere with kidney function.’

How To Use Nettle Leaf

To prepare Nettle tea, add a tablespoon of nettle leaves to a cup of hot water. Cover the cup and let it steep for five (5) minutes before straining it. Drink a few cups of nettle tea during the day. You can also add nettle to your salads and meals. Once the leaves are cut small they will not irritate when ingesting. Irritation occurs when the leaves touch the lips.
